In the summer of 2009, the "Tall Ships' Races Baltic 2009" regatta visited Klaipeda. Lithuanian port city welcomed nearly 100 sailing vessels, among which were the biggest (Class A) and the most beautiful sailing vessels.
"Eendracht" is the biggest threemasted schooner in Netherlands. Its length is almost 60 meters. Built in 1989, the schooner "Eendracht" changed its smaller predecessor, the twomasted schooner "Johann Schmidt" that swam 260 736 nautical miles in fifteen-year period, which equals 12 times the journey around the world. In 1989 August 29, "Eendracht" was "inaugurated" by Queen Beatrix.
