The train Viking which is going from Klaipeda to the Ukrainian ports will have a predefined schedule, according to which it will go twice a week.

This will speed up the train’s journey through Belarus and Ukraine. Viking will have a schedule and will not need to let pass other trains. Until now, the train Viking was going from Odessa. Now, Viking will go twice a week, even if it is not fully loaded. Viking’s loading will be in Iljichiovsk station Paromnaja and Odessa’s Liski. This new schedule was sought out by the Lithuanian Transport Ministry. It was claimed that the train with a fixed schedule has more chances of attracting new cargo. Along with Viking, another train Zubr will have a similar fixed schedule and will be a competitor for Viking.
